Manila is a strong fiber that comes from the leafstems of the stalk of the abaca plant, which belongs tothe banana family. The fibers vary in length from 4 to12 feet (1200 to 3600mm) in the natural state.
Sisal fibers are usually 26 to 40 inches (650mm to 1000 mm) long.
Hemp is about 20 to 50 mm long and cotton is 25 - 35mm
long.
